# 👋 Welcome. Pull Up a Chair.
> [!quote] Ezra 7:10 (NLT) Ezra had determined to ***study*** and ***obey*** the Law of the LORD and to ***teach*** those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel.
This is a **study Bible written one chapter at a time** by a pastor, in the open. As I learn, I share.
Think of it as sitting at my desk while I study. You'll find my notes on each book and chapter, studies on the big questions of the faith, and the things I'm learning along the way. Some pages are finished. Others are still growing. That's on purpose. My goal is to work through the whole Bible, Genesis to Revelation, and invite you to learn alongside me.

## 📝 Margin Notes
> [!note] What are the M-numbers? As I study, I write numbers like **M003** in the margins of my Bible. Each number points to a note here where I've written out a full thought on that passage.
>
> I call these **Miscellanies**, after Jonathan Edwards, who kept numbered notebooks of his thoughts on Scripture for most of his life.
>
> - **On a chapter page,** click any M-number to read the full note.
> - **Holding one of my Bibles?** Search the number in the search bar to find the note.
> - **Want to browse them all?** Open the Miscellanies folder in the sidebar.

# ✍️ Why I'm Doing This
The Bible isn't just meant to be studied.
It's meant to be lived.
My prayer is that this study Bible will be:
- 🔎 **Clear** enough for anyone to understand
- 🌊 **Rich** enough for deep study
- 🚶 **Practical** enough for everyday life
This is about following the Good Shepherd together, step by step and day by day. Like all of us, it's a work in progress.
