## š Scripture Text (NET)
(The NET Bible: New English Translation. Biblical Studies Press, 2005)
#### By David, when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, causing the king to send him away.
34Ā I will praiseĀ theĀ LordĀ at all times;
my mouth will continually praise him.
2Ā I will boastĀ in theĀ Lord;
let the oppressed hear and rejoice.
3Ā Magnify theĀ LordĀ with me.
Let us praiseĀ his name together.
4Ā I sought theĀ Lordās helpĀ and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
5Ā Look to him and be radiant;
do not let your faces be ashamed.
6Ā This oppressed man cried out and theĀ LordĀ heard;
he saved himĀ from all his troubles.
7Ā The angel of theĀ LordĀ camps around
theĀ LordāsĀ loyal followersĀ and delivers them.
8Ā TasteĀ and see that theĀ LordĀ is good.
How blessedĀ is the oneĀ who takes shelter in him.
9Ā Fear theĀ Lord, you chosen people of his,
for those who fear him lack nothing.
10Ā Even young lions sometimes lack food and are hungry,
but those who seek theĀ LordĀ lack no good thing.
11Ā Come children. Listen to me.
I will teach you what it means to fear theĀ Lord.
12Ā Do you want to really live?
Would you love to live a long, happy life?
13Ā Then make sure you donāt speak evil words
or use deceptive speech.
14Ā Turn away from evil and do what is right.
Strive for peace and promote it.
15Ā TheĀ LordĀ pays attention to the godly
and hears their cry for help.
16Ā But theĀ LordĀ opposes evildoers
and wipes out all memory of them from the earth.
17Ā The godlyĀ cry out and theĀ LordĀ hears;
he saves them from all their troubles.
18Ā TheĀ LordĀ is near the brokenhearted;
he deliversĀ those who are discouraged.
19Ā The godlyĀ face many dangers,
but theĀ LordĀ savesĀ themĀ from each one of them.
20Ā He protectsĀ all his bones;
not one of them is broken.
21Ā Evil people self-destruct;
those who hate the godly are punished.
22Ā TheĀ LordĀ rescues his servants;
all who take shelter in him escape punishment.
