## š Scripture Text (NET)
(The NET Bible: New English Translation. Biblical Studies Press, 2005)
Then theĀ LordĀ said to Moses, āNow you will see what I will do to Pharaoh,Ā for compelled by my strong handĀ he will release them, and by my strong hand he will drive them out of his land.ā
2Ā God spokeĀ to Moses and said to him, āI am theĀ Lord.Ā 3Ā I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob asĀ God Almighty,Ā but by my name ātheĀ LordāĀ I was not known to them.Ā 4Ā I also established my covenant with themĀ to give them the land of Canaan, where they were living as resident foreigners.Ā 5Ā IĀ have also heardĀ the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving,Ā and I have remembered my covenant.Ā 6Ā Therefore, tell the Israelites, āI am theĀ Lord. I will bring you outĀ from your enslavement toĀ the Egyptians, I will rescue you from the hard labor they impose,Ā and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.Ā 7Ā I will take you to myself for a people, and I will be your God.Ā Then you will know that I am theĀ LordĀ your God, who brought you out from your enslavement toĀ the Egyptians.Ā 8Ā I will bring you to the land I swore to giveĀ to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacobāand I will give it to youĀ as a possession. I am theĀ Lord.āā
9Ā Ā Moses told thisĀ to the Israelites, but they did not listen to himĀ because of their discouragementĀ and hard labor.Ā 10Ā Then theĀ LordĀ said to Moses,Ā 11Ā āGo, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt that he must releaseĀ the Israelites from his land.āĀ 12Ā But Moses replied toĀ theĀ Lord, āIf the Israelites did not listen to me, thenĀ how will Pharaoh listen to me, sinceĀ I speak with difficulty?ā
13Ā TheĀ LordĀ spokeĀ to Moses and Aaron and gave them a chargeĀ for the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt to bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.
