And bring in the lampstand, and set up the lamps. [[#Verse 05.]]Ā ā€œPlace the gold incense altar in front of the Ark of the Covenant. Then hang the curtain at the entrance of the Tabernacle.Ā  [[#Verse 06.]]Ā Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the Tabernacle entrance.Ā  [[#Verse 07.]]Ā Set the washbasin between the TabernacleĀ and the altar, and fill it with water.Ā  [[#Verse 08.]]Ā Then set up the courtyard around the outside of the tent, and hang the curtain for the courtyard entrance. [[#Verse 09.]]Ā ā€œTake the anointing oil and anoint the Tabernacle and all its furnishings to consecrate them and make them holy.Ā  [[#Verse 10.]]Ā Anoint the altar of burnt offering and its utensils to consecrate them. Then the altar will become absolutely holy.Ā  [[#Verse 11.]]Ā Next anoint the washbasin and its stand to consecrate them. [[#Verse 12.]]Ā ā€œPresent Aaron and his sons at the entrance of the Tabernacle, and wash them with water.Ā  [[#Verse 13.]]Ā Dress Aaron with the sacred garments and anoint him, consecrating him to serve me as a priest.Ā  [[#Verse 14.]]Ā Then present his sons and dress them in their tunics.Ā  [[#Verse 15.]]Ā Anoint them as you did their father, so they may also serve me as priests. With their anointing, Aaron’s descendants are set apart for the priesthood forever, from generation to generation.ā€ [[#Verse 16.]]Ā Moses proceeded to do everything just as theĀ LordĀ had commanded him.Ā  [[#Verse 17.]]Ā So the Tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month of the second year.Ā  [[#Verse 18.]]Ā Moses erected the Tabernacle by setting down its bases, inserting the frames, attaching the crossbars, and setting up the posts.Ā  [[#Verse 19.]]Ā Then he spread the coverings over the Tabernacle framework and put on the protective layers, just as theĀ LordĀ had commanded him. [[#Verse 20.]]Ā He took the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant and placed themĀ inside the Ark. Then he attached the carrying poles to the Ark, and he set the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—on top of it.Ā  [[#Verse 21.]]Ā Then he brought the Ark of the Covenant into the Tabernacle and hung the inner curtain to shield it from view, just as theĀ LordĀ had commanded him. [[#Verse 22.]]Ā Next Moses placed the table in the Tabernacle, along the north side of the Holy Place, just outside the inner curtain.Ā  [[#Verse 23.]]Ā And he arranged the Bread of the Presence on the table before theĀ Lord, just as theĀ LordĀ had commanded him. [[#Verse 24.]]Ā He set the lampstand in the Tabernacle across from the table on the south side of the Holy Place.Ā  [[#Verse 25.]]Ā Then he lit the lamps in theĀ Lord’s presence, just as theĀ LordĀ had commanded him.Ā  [[#Verse 26.]]Ā He also placed the gold incense altar in the Tabernacle, in the Holy Place in front of the inner curtain.Ā  [[#Verse 27.]]Ā On it he burned the fragrant incense, just as theĀ LordĀ had commanded him. [[#Verse 28.]]Ā He hung the curtain at the entrance of the Tabernacle,Ā  [[#Verse 29.]]Ā and he placed the altar of burnt offering near the Tabernacle entrance. On it he offered a burnt offering and a grain offering, just as theĀ LordĀ had commanded him. [[#Verse 30.]]Ā Next Moses placed the washbasin between the Tabernacle and the altar. He filled it with water so the priests could wash themselves.Ā  [[#Verse 31.]]Ā Moses and Aaron and Aaron’s sons used water from it to wash their hands and feet.Ā  [[#Verse 32.]]Ā Whenever they approached the altar and entered the Tabernacle, they washed themselves, just as theĀ LordĀ had commanded Moses. [[#Verse 33.]]Ā Then he hung the curtains forming the courtyard around the Tabernacle and the altar. And he set up the curtain at the entrance of the courtyard. So at last Moses finished the work. ### TheĀ Lord’s Glory Fills the Tabernacle [[#Verse 34.]]Ā Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of theĀ LordĀ filled the Tabernacle.Ā  [[#Verse 35.]]Ā Moses could no longer enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the glory of theĀ LordĀ filled the Tabernacle. [[#Verse 36.]]Ā Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it.Ā  [[#Verse 37.]]Ā But if the cloud did not rise, they remained where they were until it lifted.Ā  [[#Verse 38.]]Ā The cloud of theĀ LordĀ hovered over the Tabernacle during the day, and at night fire glowed inside the cloud so the whole family of Israel could see it. This continued throughout all their journeys. ## ==šŸ“– Verse-by-Verse Commentary== ###### Overall. ###### Verse 01. ###### Verse 02. ###### Verse 03. ###### Verse 04. ###### Verse 05. ###### Verse 06. ###### Verse 07. ###### Verse 08. ###### Verse 09. ###### Verse 10. ###### Verse 11. ###### Verse 12. ###### Verse 13. ###### Verse 14. ###### Verse 15. ###### Verse 16. ###### Verse 17. ###### Verse 18. ###### Verse 19. ###### Verse 20. ###### Verse 21. ###### Verse 22. ###### Verse 23. ###### Verse 24. ###### Verse 25. ###### Verse 26. ###### Verse 27. ###### Verse 28. ###### Verse 29. ###### Verse 30. ###### Verse 31. ###### Verse 32. ###### Verse 33. ###### Verse 34. ###### Verse 35. ###### Verse 36. ###### Verse 37. ###### Verse 38. ## šŸ¤” Interesting Facts / Historical and Cultural Insights - coming soon. %% PRIVATE NOTES (only I see this) Write down things that are not straight from commentary but interesting facts that ground the text in history. %% ## 🧠 Chapter Summary - coming soon. %% PRIVATE NOTES (only I see this) Write a short paragraph (3–5 sentences) summarizing what happens in this chapter. - What is the main event or teaching? - How does this chapter fit the book’s overall story? - What stands out immediately?
