### Vision Three: The Surveyor
[[#Verse 01.]]Ā (2:5) I looked again, and there was a man with a measuring line in his hand.Ā
[[#Verse 02.]]Ā I asked, āWhere are you going?ā He replied, āTo measure Jerusalem in order to determine its width and its length.āĀ
[[#Verse 03.]]Ā At this point the angelic messengerĀ who spoke to me went out, and another messenger came to meet himĀ
[[#Verse 04.]]Ā and said to him, āHurry, speak to this young manĀ as follows: āJerusalem will no longer be enclosed by wallsĀ because of the multitude of people and animals there.Ā
[[#Verse 05.]]Ā But I,ā theĀ LordĀ says, āwill be a wall of fire surrounding JerusalemĀ and the source of glory in her midst.āā
[[#Verse 06.]]Ā āYou there!Ā Flee from the northland!ā says theĀ Lord, āfor like the four winds of heavenĀ I have scattered you,ā says theĀ Lord.
[[#Verse 07.]]Ā āEscape, Zion, you who live among the Babylonians!āĀ
[[#Verse 08.]]Ā For theĀ LordĀ of Heavenās Armies says: āFor his own gloryĀ he has sent me to the nations that plundered youāfor anyone who touches you touches the pupilĀ of hisĀ eye.Ā
[[#Verse 09.]]Ā Yes, look here, I am about to punish themĀ so that they will be looted by their own slaves.ā Then you will know that theĀ LordĀ of Heavenās Armies has sent me.
[[#Verse 10.]]Ā āSing out and be happy, Zion my daughter!Ā For look, I have come; I will settle in your midst,ā says theĀ Lord.Ā
[[#Verse 11.]]Ā āMany nations will join themselves to theĀ LordĀ on the day of salvation,Ā and they will also be myĀ people. Indeed, I will settle in the midst of you all. Then you will know that theĀ LordĀ of Heavenās Armies has sent me to you.Ā
[[#Verse 12.]]Ā TheĀ LordĀ will take possession ofĀ Judah as his portion in the holy land and he will choose Jerusalem once again.Ā
[[#Verse 13.]]Ā Be silent in theĀ Lordās presence, all people everywhere,Ā for he is being moved to action in his holy dwelling place.ā
