Biblical Studies Press, 2005) ### Vision Eight: The Chariots 6Ā Once more I looked, and this time I saw four chariots emerging from between two mountains of bronze.Ā 2Ā Harnessed to the first chariot were red horses, to the second black horses,Ā 3Ā to the third white horses, and to the fourth spotted horses, all of them strong.Ā 4Ā Then I asked the angelic messengerĀ who was speaking with me, ā€œWhat are these, sir?ā€Ā 5Ā The messenger replied, ā€œThese are the four spiritsĀ of heaven going out after presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.Ā 6Ā The chariot with the black horses is going to the north country, and the white ones are going after them, but the spotted ones are going to the south country.Ā 7Ā All these strong onesĀ are scattering; they have sought permission to go and walk about over the earth.ā€ The Lord had said, ā€œGo! Walk about over the earth!ā€ So they are doing so.Ā 8Ā Then he cried out to me, ā€œLook! The ones going to the northland have brought meĀ peace about the northland.ā€ ### A Concluding Oracle 9Ā TheĀ Lord’s message came to me as follows:Ā 10Ā ā€œChoose some peopleĀ from among the exiles, namely, Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, all who have come from Babylon, and when you have done so go to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah.Ā 11Ā Then take some silver and gold to make a crownĀ and set it on the head of Joshua the high priest, the son of Jehozadak.Ā 12Ā Then say to him, ā€˜TheĀ LordĀ of Heaven’s Armies says, ā€œLook—here is the man whose name is Branch,Ā who will sprout up from his place and build the temple of theĀ Lord.Ā 13Ā Indeed, he will build the temple of theĀ Lord, and he will be clothed in splendor, sitting as king on his throne. Moreover, there will be a priestĀ with him on his throne and they will see eye to eye on everything.Ā 14Ā The crown will then be turned over to Helem,Ā Tobijah, Jedaiah, and HenĀ son of Zephaniah as a memorial in the temple of theĀ Lord.Ā 15Ā Then those who are far awayĀ will come and build the temple of theĀ LordĀ so that you may know that theĀ LordĀ of Heaven’s Armies has sent me to you. This will all come to pass if you completely obey the voice of theĀ LordĀ your God.ā€ā€™ā€ ## ==šŸ“– Verse-by-Verse Commentary== - coming soon. %% PRIVATE NOTES (only I see this) Write something for each verse Each verse is important. %% ## šŸ¤” Interesting Facts / Historical and Cultural Insights - coming soon. %% PRIVATE NOTES (only I see this) Write down things that are not straight from commentary but interesting facts that ground the text in history. %% ## 🧠 Chapter Summary - coming soon. %% PRIVATE NOTES (only I see this) Write a short paragraph (3–5 sentences) summarizing what happens in this chapter. - What is the main event or teaching? - How does this chapter fit the book’s overall story? - What stands out immediately?
