> The book of 1 Peter encourages Christians who are suffering persecution to stand firm in their faith and live holy, hopeful lives. Peter reminds believers that they are chosen by God, called to be holy, and to reflect Christ in a hostile world. The letter offers comfort by pointing to the eternal inheritance and glory that awaits them.
